(1) USB-C PD 3.0 charging port supports up to 100 Watts of total charging capacity, with 15 Watts dedicated to the unit itself and 85 Watts allocated for charging a connected host device

The maximum video resolution supported on each video output is dependent on the graphics card capabilities of the host. The U442-DOCK8-B supports host devices with DP 1.2 (HBR2), DP 1.4 (HBR3) or DP 1.4 (HBR3 DSC1.2) graphics capabilities. The maximum single-display video outputs under each are as follows:
USB-C DP 1.2 (HBR2):
HDMI: 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) @ 30 Hz
DisplayPort: 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) @ 30 Hz
USB-C DP 1.4 (HBR3):

Extend the Host Laptop or Computer's Desktop Across Multiple Displays
Capable of extending a desktop or transmitting different video to multiple displays using MST Mode on a Windows source. The video output quality and combinations is determined by the graphics card and video transmission capabilities of the host computer. The following video outputs are supported:
Note: Extending a desktop and transmitting different video content to multiple displays using MST Mode is only supported on Windows sources. Mac OS devices are only capable of extending across a single display with any additional connected displays being mirrored via SST Mode. The U442-DOCK8-BINT is capable of transmitting video content to up to three displays. A compatible laptop can utilize its internal display along with two connected displays, or transmit to three connected displays only. Compatible video cables are required and sold separately, see Recommended Cabling for details.
