This SRCOOL7KRME server rack cooling unit uses R32 refrigerant to pump 9,000 BTU/h (2.7 kW) ASHRE of cooling into your IT environment to help prevent shutdowns, malfunctions and other failures caused by overheating or fluctuating temperatures. R32 has a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) compared to traditional refrigerants, which helps reduce the overall impact on climate change. Adopting R32 ensures compliance with current and upcoming regulations set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the State of California and Canada, as well as the latest standards for the Department of Energy (DoE), California Energy Commission (CEC) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) for portable air-conditioning units, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with the environmental standards.

The self-contained SRCOOL7KRME chassis mounts in 8U of space at the bottom of an EIA-standard rack enclosure to save floor space in a small-to-medium-sized data center, server room, network closet or other environment with heat-sensitive rack equipment. A directional output vent aims the air upward, directly at rack equipment. The SRCOOL7KRME solves your heat-related problems without requiring the heavy costs of new construction, time-consuming maintenance or installation specialists.

Quiet, Efficient Close-Coupled Cooling Ensures the Cool Air Goes Where Most Needed
Close-coupled air conditioning delivers cold air near heat loads to discourage recirculation and increase energy efficiency as much as 39 percent. A magnetic air dam attached to the front door of the rack enclosure makes sure your rack equipment draws cool air from the SRCOOL7KRME, rather than drawing warm air from the room. Because it only cools the equipment inside the rack enclosure, the SRCOOL7KRME is much more efficient than solutions that cool an entire room to achieve the same result. The SRCOOL7KRME also filters the air, and its built-in evaporator eliminates condensation with no floor drain or water collection tank needed.

Designed for Easy and Convenient Operation
The intuitive control panel includes a digital display and diagnostic LEDs to communicate operating conditions at a glance. The SRCOOL7KRME restarts automatically after power failures, and you can set the built-in timer to schedule unattended shutdowns and startups. The 2.1-meter (seven-foot) power cord plugs into a standard 15A (NEMA 5-15R) outlet.

Optional Network Interface Offers 24/7 Access
The optional SRCOOLNET2LX remote management accessory (sold separately) allows you to monitor temperatures, receive alerts, review logs and control settings over an Ethernet network from any location via SNMP, web browser, SSH or telnet. SRCOOLNET2LX also includes an ENVIROSENSE® temperature and humidity sensor that lets you link cooling output with temperature readings up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) away.
